Where Love Has Fairer Might
A "stare" of shades and noises with shadows full of eyes warred against the light that shown from outside.
There... where, stripped and beaten inwardly with daggers piercing all traces of hope, I was drawn and withered with the passing of each day.
There...where softly pressed upon my cheek ran a steady stream of tears.
There... the memories, folded tightly with love, kissed and fondled the child in me as the fair appointed dawning neared; broken.
There, into where the dark and slender spiral of doves whirl and echoes fall, higher, fairer, nigher through the evening skies of the mind of man; there...where, as the wake of the lights of vigil slipped, I made my stand. There...where, a "stare" of shades and noises with shadows full of eyes possessed my soul in darkness, until I gained insight. For love is all of warring, but love has fairer might upon the "stares" of darkness than on the hills of light! Play the wars of manhood and teach the ways of trade. Build with steel and mortar but if your light should fade; Remember; stars salute the dawning of each and every day. And though stars are only seen when darkness gathers in, they are only shadows full of eyes, there...
*stare-noun: a fixed look with eyes open wide. To look at with fixed eyes; as through fear, wonder, surprise, impudence, etc.;
