The Divine Imprint Of Mother
We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2 Pet 1:19

O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock,
in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet
is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.Song 2:14

The gentle lips of mother pressed
the vesture of her smile in mine.
It's lasting imprint, like no other,
stays fresh within my mind!

There, pressed upon my pillow
when I lay me down to sleep,
lies the divine imprint of mother
forever resting in my cheek!

It's there to catch the tears
when still, they sometimes fall.
It lightens up my heart
from it's dim cathedral walls!

It's there each awaking morning
and can't wash away with soap.
It mirrors back her love to me
in a smile full of hope!

When that day upon us breaks
I'll say to the Lord Divine,
"The dearest gift you gave to me
was the vesture of her smile in mine!"

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars:
for one star differeth from another star in glory. 1 Cor 15:41
