Dear Heavenly Father,
In Thee I do implore;
toss my sins in a forgetful sea
and remember them no more!
I ask forgiveness for
what I've put you through.
And Lord, if you will,
do see to it that
I'll not fish there too?
Toss my sins in a sea
where waves
no longer roar!
Take me calmly to that place
where I may walk with Thee!
To
know your sweet love
is all consuming enough!
For when love expands it's
nets
I'm sure to catch
the goodness it employs!
Toss them in a forgetful sea
where guilt and judgements lie.
For whom the Son sets free
they are free indeed!
In Thee will I abide!
"Oh my son, the Lord replied.
I know of no such sins from you;
I've tossed them over the side!
Now if you find you must fish
you'll catch my joy, truth
and righteousness!"
