Tami's Birthday
It's just something about TAMI'S birthday
that put a smile on the Lord's face,
and caused Him to rejoice in faith,
guilding her strongly along her way
since her birth, until today!
"What special event occurred Lord?"
I heard the angels curiously ask.
"Haven't you heard why I'm so happy?
TODAY IS THE BIRTHDAY OF TAMI!"
Jesus said, smiling with delight!
"She's blessed with a purity of light
in perseverance of virtuous strength
to show forth God's love in her smile and eyes!
Just look at this precious child!
It's obvious, don't ya think?"
And the angels agreed with "Amen!;
Yes Lord she surely has your eyes and smile!"
The Angels smiled excitedly,
exclaiming, "Blessed is her soul!
Today is the day the Lord hath made,
for today is TAMI'S birthday!"
And in her cradle, Tami smiled,
looking into the face of God;
anointed to carry His truth;
As God's own precious child!
Now she is a Godly woman
who has come into her own,
praising Jesus all the days
long and singing her song!
"He looked into my eyes
in the crib where I lied
answering when I cried;
and still He answers me!
When I call out His name
the loneliness goes away!
When I worship You Lord,
you answer when I pray!
Hasn't it always seemed to be-
all my life You've been with me!
You're in my smile and eyes;
my heart, soul and mind!
From the cradle to the grave
unceasingly I give You praise!
Thank You Lord for each day
you've given since my BIRTHDAY!"
