These are "rough" notes from Oct. 11, 2001, but I believe you are going to see some Biblical answers concerning the WTC Twin Towers attack on Sept. 11.

"Are the WTC Towers mentioned in the Bible? Yes, I believe so!"

All scripture text is from the KJV. My personal comments are bracketed. All translations are from the Hebrew. (Compare Zeph 1:15-16 (at end of document study) with Isa 30:25-31:9)

Here are my findings concerning: Isa 30:25-31:9.

~ Isa 30:25-And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

("Mountains" here is the Hebrew word: 2022 har (har); sometimes used figuratively. "Hill" is 1389 gib` ah- and is used, " as a place of illicit worship. "

"Rivers" comes from the Hebrew 6385 palag (paw-lag'); a primitive root; meaning to split (literally or figuratively):

"Streams" is a word meaning "a course as in a stream, a watercourse; as irrigating." It comes directly from 2986 yabal (yaw-bal'); a primitive root; properly, to flow; causatively, to bring (especially with pomp):

Mm, can we smell the waters of revival coming to dead, dried up churches once steeped in false beliefs and feigned worship in the air or not? God is moving illicit places of worship out of their lip servicing ways. He is bringing true revival on a mass scale!

Verse 26- Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

(Have you been noticing the brightness of the moon lately? Some nights I don't even a flash light, I can walk the yard with enough light to see where I'm walking. Need anything more be mentioned about the extreme heat of the sun, and the rise of skin cancer among sun bathers?)

Verse 27- Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:

Verse 28- And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.

(If anyone needs an answer as to why a war against terrorists is going on, just tell them what the word says, "God is sifting the nations with the sieve of vanity!"

"Vanity" is the Hebrew word: 7723 shav' (shawv);or shav (shav); used in the sense of desolating evil, emptiness, worthlessness-in the sense of conduct , falsehood, literally (with ruin), or morally (especially guile); figuratively idolatry (as a false subjective ..or religion.)

(Has this not been proclaimed a "holy war" by the unholy? Righteousness will prevail to desolate the evil of the guilty parties, steeped in idolatry, whether it be idolatry in foreign lands or America.

God is no respector of nations concerning sin. Just look at the price Israel has paid throughout the centuries, and even now and I think you'll agree that the whole world needs to repent and turn to Jesus Christ as Lord!)

Verse 29-Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

(Is not America renewed in it's patriotic songs, and songs of worship. People in bars are rising to stand as country and rock singers sing the National Anthem, followed by Amazing Grace! This is happening!)

"as in the night" 3915 layil (lah'-yil); properly means, a twist (away of the light), i.e. figuratively, in adversity:

"solemnity is kept"- solemnity meaning, 2282 chag (khag); a festival, or solemn memorial service for a victim therefor:

(Solemn memorial services are going on around the country with support going out by many thousands towards the families and the ones who paid with the sacrifice of their lives. People are gathering as never before in my life time to churches and houses of worship to the mighty One of Israel.)

Verse 30-And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.

Verse 31-For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.

Assyrian is the word: 804 'Ashshuwr (ash-shoor'); or 'Ashshur (ash-shoor'); Ashshur was the second son of Shem; And this applies to his descendants and the country occupied by them (i.e. Assyria), its region and its empire:

(Afghanistan has part with that descendant. They are between a rock and a hard place! With destruction on all sides! )

Notice that the sentence reads in English as such: "shall the Assyrian be beaten down" but actually, the word, "shall" and the words, " be beaten down" are the same Hebrew word chathath (khaw-thath'); Both are the same primitive root; properly meaning, "to prostrate; hence, to break down, either (literally) by violence, or (figuratively) by confusion and fear:" or both.

They are not the ones doing the smiting..."which smote with a rod", but actually "which" is an inserted word (x); This word was added by the translators for better readability in the English. There is no actual word in the Hebrew text. - thus they are the ones getting....smote with a rod!

"Smote" means just what it says, 5221 nakah- to be stricken or smitten and destroyed, to conquer, to subjugate, to ravage, to chastise, to send judgment upon, to punish, to be attacked and captured!

"Rod" 7626 shebet- is an unused root which is "probably" believed to mean "to branch off". It is an offshoot-a staff. The word has been used to mean a clan or "tribe" as well. A truncheon, a scepter (a mark of authority!)

Verse 32-And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.

(Right now the staff (authority), of the US and British forces are in air attacks and using ground to air missiles.

"The grounded staff SHALL pass" because the ground forces will eventually go in and it shall be "with tabrets and harps" which only means THEY WILL TAKE A BEATING...like a drum or tambourine! A tabret is simply (8596 toph), a timbrel, or a tambourine!

They will take strikes like twangs on a stringed instrument! "Harps" is 3658 kinnowr (kin-nore'); from a unused root meaning to twang; as in a harp!

In modern terms I think of a harp as a "juice harp" or voice harmonica that is blowed and sucked. They are going to be sucked up and blown away!

"In battles of shaking the terrorists will fight with it." Or in other words: "shaking" (8573 tenuwphah) here means-a banishing. (This is a technical term used of a sacrifice involving weapons!) It's also used of God's hand. Also of a wave-offering, a sacrifice.

Verse 33- For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.

(Tophet 8612 Topheth-is a place in the southeast end of the Valley of the Sons of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem. meaning "a place of fire"; )

The valley's caves are ancient. They were prepared for the rulers of their country. They stretch more deeply than in length, where at the base it is enlarged for occupation in case of attack. Where Osama may be (according to what scripture says, if this applies), it is reenforced with much wood, and it will be turned to fire.. he breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, will kindle it.!

CHAPTER 31
Verse 1- Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Verse 2- Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

(If this is applying to Bush Jr., it looks like he will follow through with what he said, and attack any aiding country who harbors the terrorists.)

Verse 3- Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

(If this does apply to what is going on, it appears that Egypt will get involved too, and fail/fall?)

Verse 4- For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

(Israel's involvement in a battle for the complete overtaking or destruction of the Muslim Mosque maybe? They must have control, and it must be destroyed for the Holy Temple to be built. Scripture refers to it being destroyed, where one stone won't even be used in the True Temple construction. Many believe this to be a direct act of God, but God has used Israel in part in many instances to directly destroy it's enemies and scripture accounts the cases as acts of God!

And naturally He is the only one worthy of such credit!)

Verse 5- As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

(Looks like a strong air defense to me.)

Verse 6- Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

Verse 7- For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

(I believe this is especially directed to America to turn to Christ as a true witness to the world, and to the Jews. America being the world's commerce leader has for too long made free commerce and capitalism their idol. Idol worship through capitalism of course has been America's great sin in the eyes of God and to many other belief systems. Other people of the world hate America for their lavish materialism. It leads to all sorts of sins of pride, immorality and substance abuse!)

Verse 8- Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

(Bush was widely thought to be a wimp, a dumb Texan,an ex drunk. His stand for Christ did little in many eyes to assure many early on that he was a more capable leader than he appeared. They just looked upon that as another "weakness." He has ordered food drops along with the bombings. That's a sign of a pretty good guy! (unmean). How many countries in history have had a leader who ordered such from the start of a war? None.

How many times in American history has a leader ordered such, especially after an unprovoked attack on America? None. Sending bread with bombs! Who would have thought of such a humane, and politically correct thing?

A God fearing man who's listening to the Lord, that's who! So in that sense what is coming about IS kindled by the Lord! He's doing it through our Nation's leader.

The word "kindled" in verse 33 of chapter 30 is: 1197 ba` ar. As well as meaning, 1) to burn, to consume, to kindle, to be kindled. It can also be used to mean: c) (Piel) "to feed, to graze". d) (Hiphil) "to cause to be grazed over."

Our President is allowing the Lord to "graze over" his mind and decisions. He is "feeding" or grazing so to speak to let the Lord's kindle reside in him! Some say they embrace the Lord. But to kindle the Lord is to allow His fire to be in you!

That His perfect will is accomplished not only in the Holy Ghost, but in the Holy Ghost AND FIRE! As the Apostle Paul's devotion carried a fire hotter than natural fire. For example in Acts 28:3

Verse 3- And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand...

(we all know what happened next!...Vs 5- "And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm!"

Salvation came to the whole tribe when he didn't die and they thought he was a god. That made them want to hear of the God Paul served!)

The real miracles which leads to vast salvation comes out of the HEAT after a fire is kindled! We can all learn from his example IF ONLY WE GATHER A BUNDLE OF STICKS!

Now I don't know whether I should en bracket this as personal comments....or not. This sounds like good preaching material to me! I find the word of God purges the natural fears when the heat is on. America has been under the heat since Sept. 11, but look at all the salvational results that are happening! "She shall shake off the beast into the fire, and feel no harm!"

Verse 9-And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

(Yeah, I'd say Ben Laden, according to this is in the ground at his strong hold caves in hiding and not among the civilian populace as Newscasters have speculated. I'd also say, "Without a doubt, they must be fearing the United States ensign especially when the vessel that flag is on is dropping smart bombs! I'm sure they will not be in the streets burning the American flag either!

It sounds like Israel may come under terriots attacks during the war on terrorists, before it's all over! Fire may be referring to many fire bombings, and explosions possibly in suicide attacks in the heart of Jerusalem!)

According to these gleanings, things don't look so bad for the USA, (except for Ben Laden, his followers, Egypt and Israel).

Of course there is always a chance I am missing something, but I choose to live my last days here in peace, at least mentally, though the world is in gloom. AMERICA HAS NOT ALREADY LOST THIS WAR~ as some claim. Nor will Russia or China, or any other nation that is not in support, keep America from advancing against her enemies. The over all year immediately ahead will not be anywhere near as bad as many fear at this time. In fact, all things considering, it may be uneventful in terms of further large scale attacks, as we have seen.)
